    This quote reminds me a bit of one of my favorite nuggets of wisdom, from Scott Peck's Road Less Traveled book where he talks about a relationship being a commitment--a decision to commit--rather than a "state" or "feeling" such as "being in love." Very powerful and wise. Discussed here.
