Check out this blog entry for a very short interview with Trevor Eissler who has written the book Montessori Madness: A Parent to Parent Argument for Montessori.

  1. John,

For some reason, I wasn't able to post a comment, but here it is:

I came across your blog yesterday. Thank you so much for mentioning my new book Montessori Madness! I, too, am an avid cyclist. But the time spent on the bike has been greatly reduced over the last year as I've been writing the book. Isn't that the way it should be? Isn't that the way our children in Montessori schools learn? They can dive into something wholeheartedly and stay with it for as long as it holds their interest. Then they can dive into something different and forget about the previous interest for a while. I will joyfully return to cycling this summer. But I'm glad I was able to give it up for a year, because the process of writing the book has been a delight.

The book is for sale at www.montessorimadness.com and I donate $10 per book to whichever Montessori school is designated on the order form by the purchaser.

    Trevor
