Interesting. I read her column in the Chronicle from time to time. She does present mostly common sense suggestions, but there are a couple that conflict with some ideas I gathered from some Montessori books. Her charge to never give a child money for nothing, but instead only as pay for work is one example. Overall though I think she gives some very good suggestions.
